Suprise Visit by Jasmine Kho @ Boulevard

Hawker Stall No.20 happens to be called the Macam2 Ada Stall. It's situated at the food court at Boulevard Shopping Complex in Miri. I do not know where the actual name was derived from but then it was certainly a big word to live up to. MACAM MACAM ADA , which is translated as WE GOT EVERYTHING in English is a Malay Stall ( Which sells Malay Food that is considered as HALAL ) Pardon the lengthy explanation.

I was there this afternoon, not for the food but for the seats outside it's premises as the seating arrangement there were of an open space style. By the way, i noticed a malay girl standing in front of the Macam2 Ada stall which happens to be the daughter of the owner of that stall and which also meant she is my colleague in my work place. So... to make things simple, the malay colleague's mum is the owner of this Macam2 Ada stall.

Enough with the elaboration, i got myself a plate of:

Nestum Fish Rice. RM 3.50 is all i paid for this dish , it has few cutlets of fish meat being deep fried and with nestum slathered all over it. It was aromatic the nestum flavour. Besides that, theres even a crispy-weblike "keropok" beneath the meat.

I couldn't quite remember what Patrick had for lunch. If my memory does not fail me again, i guess that's a plate of Sweet & Sour Pork Rice. So you thought Macam2 Ada stall sells pork? No Shit! They don't, you would be more attentive to what i said earlier , just because i took a pic of Macam2 Ada's stall did not meant i had Macam2 Ada's food.

Darn , i looked really stoned here. This pic was captured by the pro hands of one of my old net friend Jasmine Kho. It so happened that she sms me to ask my whereabouts when i was around Boulevard.

That's Jasmine Kho from Kuching, currently studying Medicine in Moscow, Russia. We had a quick chat and was surprised to find that she did not speak much mandarin. However, she was taken aback that we, earthlings from the North of Sarawak "DO" speak english better than the ones in Kuching ( some ). She was supposed to meet some guy but then that guy did not show up so....changed of plans.

Further Q & A's on Jasmine Kho:

1. Besides English and Russian, what do you speak?

Hokkien & a bit of Teochew..

2. Why are you here actually?

My mum is here for some business meeting, so i also tag along to have some fun.

3. Miri's a pretty boring place to hang around, what are the interesting thing you found out?

You!!!!

So, she will be leaving around 4.30PM and all the best to her in her studies. Will see ya soon again Jasmine Kho. Sorry, i forgot the word I am hungry in Russian which she thought me earlier.
