Curry Chicken Rice @ Hopoh Canteen

Hopoh Canteen is situated somewhere along the Krokop 10 road and i was there today. It's supposed to be where most hakka people congregate but then hokkiens like me could be spotted there too.

Basically, Hopoh Canteen is located at the ground floor and the whole building is call Wisma Hopoh. Not too confusing right? It's that simple. There's a tuition centre at the 1st floor known as Pusat Tuisyen Sri Gemilang. Gone were the days i had to go for tuition, how lucky.

Upon entering it's premises, i noticed a huge signage hanging from the ceiling heavily promoting us customers to drink Tiger Beers. It bears out the words " Good As Gold Around The World". Man, nothing to me is good as gold except money.

Hopoh Canteen has probably around 5 working stalls each selling their own different dish. There's the reknowned Kueh Chap stall which on that particular day did not attracted me.

..and their own long serving noodle stall which honestly is not the best option during lunchtime. I have always set a rule that i'll only eat rice during lunch hours.

...which left the only curry chicken rice stall available there should i stick to my initial rule of eating rice during lunchtime. I was contemplating on whether to follow with my new set rule or just to forget about the whole stuff and go for the Kueh Chaps, but then, after much debate over what to eat, my dad decided that i should go for the curry chicken rice.

This is the proprietor of the curry rice stall at Hopoh Canteen. From the look of his facial expression and the wear he dress, i say he is probably around 38 years old.

As the guy served our food, i noticed a slight grin coming out from Adrian's face. He didnt tell me why but my instinct told me that it was probably the big bulge from the guy's trousers which attracted Adrian.

Forget about the bulging thing, i got myself their own flagship chicken curry rice for RM3.00. It's a mixture of long beans , chicken breasts , few slices of pork meat and dried tofus. It comes up with a bowl of broth.... soup to make it easy. haha.

A close up of the main dish installed for anyone who tries out their famous curry chicken rice.Don't bother asking for steamed chicken rice as they concentrate solely on curry chicken rice alright... oh ya, their curry is not that spicy at all ( base on my standards ).

Hopoh definitely is a place for guys and girls who could find no place to dine during lunch hours, as it's cafe provides varieties of food to satisfy ones palate.

It's not surprising to see few familiar faces there too. The guy with the black shirt is the boss of a famous car workshop near Pujut. I normally called him Ah Di because, his name is Ah Di. *Lame

There were so many familiar faeces faces that for once i thought i saw a guy who really did resemble a likeness of some famous artist from Hong Kong.... actually he is my friend too. I call him.....

The JORDAN CHAN of MIRI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
