Adam goes new year visiting

It's Chinese New Year again and this year, i had many friends who called me from not only locally but also from abroad each competing against one another to have me inside their car or spending my precious time with them. The thought of dressing up and going out til late night is something which i dreaded most.

It's even harder for me to go through New Year's eve as not only my handphone but my housephone wouldn't stop ringing for hours before and after the clock strucks twelve. Guys & girls , this explains why it's hard to get me to answer the phone during new year's eve as my lines are all engaged with everyone wishing me the best of everything. I shit you not.

To make matters worst, the sound of the firecrackers and fireworks add more stress on me because i couldn't even hear what the girl opposite the other line is talking about. But i could vaguely understand something about her missing me and begging me to take her out. Or maybe take me out, either way would do.

..and this comes to the time where i would find a nice secluded but relaxing place to chill and start planning my schedule for the week. I don't think many would have did this, but it has become more like a routine for me during festive seasons. So, as i had promised earlier about posting places which i had been to, these are a few places that i visited during the past 4 days.

First up would be Sheila's house. She should be feeling really honoured as she's the first person i visited during day 1 right after i visited my relatives and few guy friends. I really can't stay long at a guy's house as the only thing they know is GAMBLE. Not what i am good at. I am innocent.

Her house is at Pujut 4 and i can't disclose more details on her whereabouts. I met her on friendster and things just clicked. So, we spend the afternoon talking and talking and talking til few of my friends got sleepy and we decided to call it a day. I chosed to wear a white shirt just because some relatives of mine would not want to see me in black. ( From Left: Adam, Sheila, Flora, Patrick, Ben )

Day 2, brings me to boulevard garden, home of Miri's own S.H.E . I received her invitation to go to her place as early as 14th November 2006. That's how they normally booked me in advance for your info. Her house is right beside my ex gf's house. I thought of visiting my ex gf but then i heard that she went to China with her parents and her.... newfound bf. People say i am not over her yet but people are just wrong. They say it cause they want me to forget about her so i can be with them. Make sense right? Good.

I met Fan Rou ( Girl in Orange ) and Ah Mek ( Girl in white ) few years back when they were still studying in Pei Min secondary. School for the nerds. No offense. Miri's pretty small so i guess you all should have heard of this new pop act dubbed Triple Stars. But if you never did, then i think they aren't popular enought..yet. They normally cover songs from S.H.E which is obvious and also songs from Rainie Yang or Cyndi Wang. I didn't had the chance to visit the remaining 2 member's house as i'm fully booked.

Next up was Yun Yun's house. I went there a day late than my other friends because i was really really preoccupied with things that time. I have a feeling that i didnt receive any red packets from her parents.. but it's ok.

Well, we didnt had a group photo because she just want a picture of me and her together. She's selfish/stingy indeed ( just like her parents,ok i am still thinking of the red packets ).

I took a picture of her while she's concentrating on NOT MAKING a fool out of herself. I got to know her in a theme park if you all are so incline in knowing how i get to make friends with her.

She won the chess game this time round. She's playing white and i let her win because i thought she might asked her dad to give me more cash but he didnt give me any. She hurt me deep.

At night, i was invited to a mini gathering for my old old school mates. It's meaningful that such events are organised once a while just to keep in touch with them. Marriage, Breakup and Scandals are topics frequently mentioned during chats.

This is Ngu kah King, my ex school mate in Chunghua and classmate in Curtin U. She adores me.

One for the album.

Jumping to Day 3, we visited Relena's house ( known as Ribena to us ). She aspire to be one of the hottest model in damai beach hence the wear she dress.

I got to know her through another friend of mine also called Ah Quek. Coincidentally, the day she broke up with her bf was the day i broke up with my ex. We are JUST friends. Don't get all narrow minded with me ok.

I soon ended up receiving a phone call to meet one of my "close" friend name Kelly V. during secondary school. I wont' go into detail and we eventually met at Siamese Secrets for a dinner. No one knows about this, only you.

The food was good. Anything seafood related are the best! We had mussels and prawns and squids and she's gonna gain some weight the moment she get back to Singapore.

Awww..... i know she reads my blog. She had warned me not to post a pic which she exclusively posed for me. But who cares anyway since she's not here. Sharing is caring you know.

Awwwww... i bet i will receive much flak for this chinese new year post from many many people.

Day 4 , sees me heading to Boulevard Garden again to visit a very close friend of mine. I know i know i have exhausted the word "CLOSE FRIEND" numerous times in this post. But reality is, they are indeed my close friend. This is Jasmine Sia by the way.

I got to know her when she's studying in Prime, she always uses that pink umbrella to college. Those were the days.

She really resembles the likeness of a korean singer called BOA. That's what i think though. Oh, i also did caught a flu while visiting her.

The girl on the right so happens to be her god sis so they did a few camwhoring shots ( exclusively for adamkuek.blogspot.com ) and i just felt it was unfair to leave her out from my article because Jasmine so happens to stay at her house , which means i was actually visiting her indirectly. She's called Laura and she's good in hurdles.

This is Bambi...

I visited Bambi's owner that very night. Bambi is a chi hua hua.

Bambi's owner is called Joey. Joey works a stone's throw away from my office. We often talk about dogs and food as well.

Rachel Yong's house was up next and we would certainly be visiting her because of the mutton which her mum prepares every year. I am addicted to it. Serious.

My chinese new year visiting session ends at Rachel Yong's house and i bet there's more to come. Which person would like to join me next year should register earlier. It's fun.

Eat your bread @ Deli's Bakery

This is a plate of Turkey Ham sandwich i got from Deli's Bakery ( formerly known as Ma Baker ) few days before Chinese New Year. The story goes like this, i would not have eat bread if it wasn't for the fact that i need to wait for my friends to have his car tinted done. Bunch of troublesome friends indeed.

My mum regularly advice me to consume more bread / sandwiches because it is good food. But ma, the problem is i don't like good food, i enjoy SWEET DELICIOUS TASTY food and somehow tasty = unhealthy.

Alright, enough with all the nonsense. This sandwich contains sliced carrots, carbages and turkey ham with a generous amount of mayo in it. It's quite good to be frank with you. On another note, there was a guy who sat just beside my table who kept talking and flirting with the 40 year old plus staff that he accidentaly dropped one of the 2 cupcakes he GOT onto the floor. The funny thing was he looked around and i thought that he would had threw it in the bin but he didnt. He picked it up, DID NOT get rid of the dirt and he just ate it up like nothing had happened! SO SO GROSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sabah Hawker Point

It has been quite a while since i write something about an eating establishment. So , this is called the SABAH HAWKER POINT. Situated opposite Centrepoint ( old GCM football field ) facing the river , this place was once my favourite football field but it now has become a place for greedy fat pigs to satisfy their palate. Ya, i still am disappointed about losing my favourite ground.

I wouldn't be hanging around there if it wasn't for Patrick's non-stop persuasion about having breakfast with his love bud colleagues.

This is how the Sabah Hawker Point looks like from the .... outside. I didn't bother walking around as there aren't many pretty hot chicks.

After browsing through the sabahan food menu, i eventually got myself a bowl of Fish Mee Hoon with salted vege. It's my favourite dish whenever i am in Labuan so i guess, if it's coming from Sabah, it must be hell of a food.

It has fish balls, fish meat, sabah tomatoes, spring onions, plum , salted veges and oh ya.. my favourite... TOFUS!

The good thing about this dish is the mee hoon. It's not as big ( if that's what you wanna call it ), the ones in town and my mum would really like it. The bad thing about this dish is actually ... the whole bowl. Something is very wrong. It's toooooooo sour and i just can't feel the sabahan-ness in it. It feels too Mirian. Ok, i admit, the chef preparing the food is a mirian and mirian are not well known for coming out with tasty fish mee hoon. Thats a fact.

I soon got fed up with the mee hoon that i decided to leave it and opted for the much interesting Roti Tissue which cost me RM 2.00. I bet this is the only place in Miri which serves such Roti. Shaped like a con, one has to actually peel the whole thing apart and it tasted sweet. Much to my...surprise. I thought it tasted salty due to the fact that it was prepared with some guy's bare hands.

I bet that Sabah Hawker Point has more to offer if not only for it's fish mee hoon. I'll go down again some other time for my next evaluation and i hope they won't disappoint me ( again ).

Boring 3 weeks.

I am on a week long holiday . Updated post would be up right after the 26th of February.

So, i didnt get to celebrate valentines like how my cousin, Adrian did. Oh wait... did i? I just couldn't remember.

For all that i know, i did helped celebrate Jane's 18th birthday for her with a bunch of my mates including my cousin Ah Bee & his really amazing friends. Yes, there were Fireworks..

Last minute Coffee Bean cakes.....

and ..18 candles and another 18 of it which were all lighted up on the balcony of the oil museum up at Canada Hill. Who wouldn't be impressed with that?

To top it off, all of them sang birthday songs to her twice. Funny indeed. For my birthday, i would like to have it done in the middle of the sea. So.. i am hinting.

Back to valentines day, which was on the 14th. Where everyone would prepare to go for dinner with their love ones, i on the other hand decided to stay in my cousin's cybercafe and sleep on that very couch til 11 at night before going back. Did i mentioned that i had lunch with Jane at Nikko's?

Ok, enough of her, i did received tons of messages from the opposite gender asking me where would i be going for valentines dinner. Darn this ladies, knowing that they themselves had a date, they even had the sheer audacity to ask their respective partners to bring them to places where i would be dining at. No, serious!

I will just skip to the part where how i celebrated Chinese New Year. I went to friends house and when i say friends , friends = GIRLS ONLY!

You peeps out there who find it hard looking for a girl's name in your contacts should just hang out with me but i will not guarantee the girls would be attending to your....... needs. So stop flaming me bunch of jealous wuss. Oh wait, hanging out with me is a bad idea, its a certain that it will lower your self esteem. Anyways, i should stop writing else there's more biblical verses or holy scriptures popping up my comment boxes. Not that i mind, it just that my dad reads my blog.

HO HO HO.

PS: Pictures of my visit to friends house would be posted up soon . I promise ( girls only )

For the record this pig wild boar here is waiting for someone come next december.

My Shoes...

This is an infant bootie that Jane got me recently. I don't know what's wrong with her as this shows she's going through a phase where she is feeling or have the tendency to have this lil feelings for children. It would look really weird to be receiving such gifts from a girl who *cough* fancies *cough* me but anyway, it looks rather cute.

I have other ideas on what to do with it but instead of spending the whole 4 hours shoving it into my pet's paws, i finally came to the conclusion that it would be much more easier to treat it as a decorative "thing" in my car. People ( especially HOT girls ) would be rather disappointed to see that on my dashboard cause they might think i am married or something which is not true.. but anyway, thanks for the infant-sized shoes jane.

Now this is a pair of Nike Talaria football shoes which i purchased recently from Lea Sport Centre and it cost RM 429.00. I really love the whole design and although it weights heavier than the other Puma shoes which i'm currently wearing, it's really comfy.

I can do more stepovers, dazzling dribbling skills and more powerful acceleration with this on the football field. With that kinda price, it's worth every single cent.
