Anna Choo's wedding

18th March would be a day to remember for 2 love birds. It's my close friend's wedding and i was invited at the very very very last minute to be their driver, which i later termed as chaffeur. Both of them should feel honoured for i don't become any person's driver for no apparent reason.

And before i proceed with my story telling, i would like to introduce a little bit about the two persons above. The guy is called AhThim and the girl is my close close friend, Anna Choo. Remember their faces, scandals do happen after 5 years. Anna Choo used to have a crush on me back in secondary school but those were the times. Let's not go there shall we? She would probably be reading this right after she come back from her honeymoon.

So, this is the car that i fetched the couples with that very sunday. I don't know if it's me or the car, but i have a feeling that i'm not quite used to driving a vehicle which has no tints at all , as the current car which i'm driving is probably around 150% dark and it's proven by JPJ that it's actually illegal but somehow i would like to find ways to legalized it. So, that was an out of tangent post. Shall we just continue on..

To kick start the whole camwhoring session that day, i had a pic taken with the bride and bridegroom. Just for your info, the lady standing beside me is Michelle Ting. She has beautiful sisters and somehow she never introduce them to me. But it's ok .

The bride's family. The guy on the left with a red shirt used to be my dad's colleague. I was teased the whole day by the bride that the bridegroom should have been me instead but hey, most girls tell me that when they get married.

Well, there were like around 70 shots taken but somehow i chosed the few good ones out as the other pics were filled with people i barely know that wants to have their faces up on my blog. Oh, can you guess who is the tallest in this picture? Just trying a few decent Q & A shots for ya ppl out there. It's okay if you don't wanna answer.

Man, the reason i chosed this pic is not because it is sweet or what. Well, it actually would be if both of them are kissing somewhere at the beach but not in front of their parents, sister in laws guests and of cause me.

Girls just love smiling at me and that's a fact.

Ah Thim who hails from Selangor mixing with the stud from East M. He reminds me of a certain someone by the name of Mr. Chua Yih Seng. I apologize to those who do not know who Mr Yih Seng is but this post is actually dedicated to Anna Choo, so just bear with it.

Right after the whole wedding ceremony ended, the wedding dinner continued. As it was held in Mega Hotel's ballroom, i had no trouble finding china girls the ballroom's whereabouts.

This is Eric Jong who is famous for his "Waiting for you" cameo appearance at many wedding banquets and funeral services.

My table are filled with people whom i hardly talk to or had not been in contact for ages. I wonder how did the... organisers plan their stuff and they even dared to admit it's all planned. That's Roger Pui with his current squeeze.

Many people attended and the amusing part was there weren't many hot chicks around. Coming to think about it, it's not amusing at all. Depressing should be the right word.

Ah Thim is a lucky man.

For if he does anything wrong, the few people up there would be the first to [insertpreferedcaptionhere] his loins. This is just a joke from me ok. ( Look for Castrate in www.wikipedia.com )

The night ended with groups of overage girls singing to some cheesy tune dedicated to Anna and her hubby. Many left early and i wonder why. It seems to me that their bold attempts to woo the crowd did not go well. LOL. Before i end this article , there's a vid of both Anna & Miao Ling impersonating Shunza & Ah Mei. I hope i got her name right this time.

Topping the nite off would be the photo session with a few of our close friend at their hotel suite which i would be posting up in a later post.

Ah Hua's birthday @ Passion Corner

This is the quietest hang out place i've ever come across in Miri. It's called The Passion Corner. Located behind Miri's old Standard Chartered, it has since become one of my ex classmates favourite spot.

The place looks rather relaxing and serene. Maybe it's due to the theme of the cafe as they opted for japanese-liked interiors. Tatami mats are chosen as another way of decorating the whole interior. The walls are plastered with wallpapers of trees that add to the calm but warm ambience.

It is soothing and i had the tendency to dozed off at such places. Not a good idea for a girl to date me out at places such as this.

Passion Corner actually boasts another floor which patrons could easily climb up the stairs at the back of the corner and choosed to dine in a japanese - way. Not that i am very familiar with such dining practices, it looks japanese to me though. Some might argue it's taiwanese but it's not my main concern.

The reason i was there this time around was because, my ex schoolmate is celebrating her birthday there. I am gonna tell you a secret....

i normally go to young, kawaii , innocent, act cute girl's birthday par-tays, but this time around , it's different.

This is Ah Hua. That's who she is and she just turned 24 . LOL. I shouldn't laugh because she's my friend's friend. She looks so happy in the picture. I really have to remind her not to be that happy cause she's turning 24.

This is the cake. I didnt even tasted it because i just had my dinner earlier on.

This is me doing what i do best. See me holding a plastic knife?

That's me acting as if i am holding her hands while she is cutting the cake. I wouldn't date certain girls who are older than me. I am scared they might fall for me and i don't want that to happen.

..and there's the group pic. Actually they did ordered steamboat and some other dish to eat but then i didn't took any pictures of it as i was lazy. ( From Left: Ah Hua, Hazel, Ben, Patrick, Tauke nio, Me ) I would cover Passion Corner's dishes the next time i am around i promise. I tried it once and it was different but good.

This is me being surrounded by girls as usual. The only thing was they are ALL OLDER than me. I find it awkward but at the same time, funny whenever i dine out with girls around my age. They would tend to tell you about kids, family, house, loans, relationships and all those pictures of their baby which is something i don't experience with the younger girls. I've always come across this sentence; " I am old already, it's probably my last time hanging out with u adam, so let's take a picture together ( which ended up with 20 plus pics )" .

... but they are fun.

Prawn omelette rice @ Double Star

I went to Double Star yesterday with my family for one of my favourite dish.

This is the Prawn omelette rice which has become my favourite dish ever since i discovered with when i dined in with Miss Kelly Voon during our date on Chinese New Year.

An upclose of how it really looks like. Double Star's prawn omelette rice comes with folded eggs mixed with prawns and herbs which are placed on top of a pile of hot steaming rice beneath it. I really love how it taste once the eggs melts in your mouth as you slowly gulp it down. Just imagining this keeps me salivating.

The prawns are fresh & juicy and the dish is tittillating. I'll be there every weekend for it's Prawn omelette rice as i'm already addicted to it. By the way, you can have it for RM 6.80 per bowl.

Timez Coffee - Free Crepe

Remember Timez Coffee? I was there again last saturday with Jasmine Sia and Patrick. It has been like 9 months since i last visited Timez. Time just passes by so fast since my last article on it. Refer back here: Timez Coffee & My Raspberry Crepe .

Well, actually it has been like 9 months since i last visited Timez with friends. I'll occasionally drop by to have one of their flagship crepe. This time around, i was intending to give my friends a treat since i had been craving for it past few weeks. The good thing about it this time was Timez management and the owner, also named Patrick were rewarding me with a free favourite crepe of my choice and a cup of ice tea for my delightful comments on them ( or so they said ).

I got to know about it right after i purchased 2 crepes for my friends. So, i was told that they found out bout my article from Mr Patrick and i really need to admire their memory as it has been a while since i went there. I know i am repeating but who cares. The reason it took me so long to found out was because i was unaware of the comments posted by Mr Patrick few months back , hence the slow response by me. I will personally send my thanks to him in few days time.

I had my shots taken with Timez coffee crew and i have to give props for their service. I rate it from the scale to 1 - 10 , 10 being the highest, i'll give them a 9. They should have talk to me more. LOL . I mean i would be glad whenever a girl talks to me. So...*cough*. nevermind about that. ( From Left: Me, Jasmine, Alan, Julia & Andrea )

A testament to how delightful the crepes were, Jasmine left not an ounce of ice cream behind.

Bye Bye Chap Goh Mei

Chap Goh Mei just passed, nothing interesting had happened except for the fact my hp got stolen by 2 girls in Parkson ( which they later returned it back with their numbers saved insie my phone book ) so i decided to play with the fireworks i bought before CNY.

Aint gonna say much, the following pictures were taken by me while my friend was playing with my fireworks near my cousin's shop.

Looking back during the whole of Chinese New Year, i did not went to many places. I admit i did spend the 1st whole week figuring out places to go, but then somehow, something happened somewhere which led to a rather dull boring new year celebrations for me.

I did however could clearly recall few GOOD things which happened such as how i got to evade the traffics from time to time during the whole of CNY ( as my car is fully tinted ) and also the part where i got to take tons of pics with girls. Not that i ENJOY taking it with them, but it's just that quite recently, some peeps out there thought i had mixing a little too much with guys. So, you know, a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do.

.. that is to talk more to the opposite gender. Ok, another good thing which happened during CNY was the fact that i got to meet an old old friend of mine from Singapore. Kelly Voon. Not married, single and available . Those who are interested to know who she is could just refer back to my last post where you could see us dining out at Siamese Secrets.

Not that i like to talk about girls, it's that they want me to talk about them.. here. Anyway, i should really stop the oh-im-so-confident style for the much humble me just cause my dad reads my blog while he's in China. He should be concentrating more on work than wasting time viewing girl's picture on my blog. Yes, he's reading the moment i am writing this article... i know.

I kept figuring it out why this year, it just feels so different from last year. Maybe it's because my good good friend in NZ decides to go back earlier than expected. I gotta admit that people had been talking talking, guessing and spreading rumours about us being together. They just don't know. Even my ex gf knows.. ( and i can guarantee you my mum will ask me about this since my dad will call her up and tell her bout it ).

Besides that, the group reunion of 2001 was indeed the highlight of my CNY this year. Although it's just a small group gathering, it means alot as i got to meet old friends which i thought had either gone lost in space ( which one of my friend did early last year ) or became some fengtao artiste. Another thing which i found out is that they are STILL studying while i am already working. That's a good thing isn't it?

Well, it all depends on what you are doing and most importantly how much you are earning. I won't be complaining if my pay is good. But still, i gave them the impression that i am living the dream ( which i currently aint ) which i shouldn't have. Now, they are asking me to treat them to every place Miri has to offer.

Talking about places which Miri has to offer. Miri has nothing to offer in terms of entertainment . It's a fact. The only thing thing i did when i brought my friend along a Miri tour were to places which she had already gone before 3 years ago. Maybe the only real entertainment she got was to sit inside a fully tinted car and get a little feel of how exciting it can get when traffics stop you or chase you around. That's all i could offer. ( i mean besides me of cause, hek )

Food wise? Don't go there. The best food Miri has to offer comes from my kitchen. My instant noodles. I know i had been telling people that i cook good instant noodles. You should give me a call or something and i'll cook one bowl for you with one condition. DON'T fall for me after that. ( Girls only ).

Well, i don't know if it's me or what. But as you can see, i didn't really enjoy this year's CNY as a whole to be honest with you. Lion dance does not interested me anymore, nor do i feel the excitement of playing firecrackers at night. I ain't even bothered about receiving red packets from adults. I would walked out of any mall when they start blasting jovial new year songs.

Oh ya, i did mentioned something about red packets. I should have make some ammendments on what i said, what i was trying to say was " Red packets with small amounts does not excites me, i am looking at either 3 digits or 4 digits ang pao now ". Coming to think of it, now i realized not much people invited me to their place.

No, don't laugh. This is serious.

Guess i am really running out of ideas on what to write here. Well, just enjoy the pics which i had taken for you silent readers out there. The least you all could do is to post a comment on something selfish peeps.

Bye.
