Rushing down office..

This post was supposed to be up yesterday but somehow there was a trip and all my post were gone. *Note: must save work before posting


The time was showing 7.48AM and it meant i will be late for work. I had to be on time as according to one of my superiors in my office, late attendance equals NO SOCSO COVERAGE.

So, i drove down as fast as i could in my B18c-R, not keeping count on how fast i was, i reached the infamous traffic light around Hill Top. Dang... that's my real worry. As expected, the cars were pilling all over the place, it's like a scaled-down version of KL's highway jams.

( Base on fig ) Red Car belongs to me. Not intending to wait for the long traffic queue, i manoeuvred my vehicle down the left lane without even giving the signal, much to the dismay of the vehicle at the back. I knew how the driver's reaction would be but i was in a hurry.

To his/her astonishment, i carried on forward via the small pavement on the left and drivers from behind would easily intepret my move ( if they are smart enough ) as a dirty but efficient way of jumping queues.

If i had to follow thru with the traffic jams, i might had reached my office probably 10 - 20 minutes late, an event i ain't willing to experience, considering the said SOCSO coverage and i might had to miss out on the RM1.00 ea Nasi Lemak promotion the pakistani cafe ( opposite my office ) is giving out.

So, not satisfied by reaching the very front of the traffic light, of cause i did saw a few envious glances by the other drivers ( who understandbly waited for their turn ) at the traffic light, i probably did not do myself favours by revving my engines loud just to make sure they leave an empty space for me to drive through.

There's this young group of enthusiastic ah beng's inside a Kenari beside me blasting out The Fast & The Furious Tokyo Drift OST's supposely of one of the famous tracks from The Teppanyaki Gays Teriyaki Boyz which i could vaguely remember singing Dwift Dwift Dwift near the chorus. Sensing that they are just posers, i rev my engine even louder and as i figured, they all stop singing with fear lingering over their heads. ( Cause my car tinted ma... 75% dark, cannot see face ho )

I did myself no favours at all by choosing to drive into a one-way lane at the left and turn back into an oncoming road. You could imagine how many eyes were staring at me that moment. Basically, i just felt like time stood still and i was the only one driving around with every vehicle stationary which reminds me of the movie i watched few days ago. Remember CLick?

Anyways stop me from disgressing, so by the time i reached the lane where i wasn't suppose to be, a van from the opposing lane came straight at me without even noticing my vehicle. Ya i know, i am the one whose at fault but with too much doses of Initial D Dvds lately, i floored on the gas pedal and went straight ahead.

The poor blue-coloured van with few bumps and scratches at it's side screeched to a halt in the middle of the road. We both looked at each other and i was giving him the WTF look. Panic, would be an understatement. Scared sh*t, he drove to the side and let me through.

I took matters even further by applying on the handbrakes and sort-of drifted out from the lane leaving the losers behind. It was a stunt to be honest with you if you consider performing it under the watchful eye of a traffic car just a stone throws away from me is fun.

I swear that, if Michael Shumacher was there, he would have received a standing oviation or applause from the drivers. I on the other hand, were greeted by jeers and derision. There was this guy who witness everything who gave me the much-more polite mid finger salute but with his indignant stares.

What happened was just a one off. I would not had done this if my SOCSO coverage lasted longer than 8AM. Sometimes, certain things really does drive a person over the edge. To me, i wasn't over the edge really.... it was probably around the edge. :P

I really do not condone such acts of erratic driving skills around town as i am more concerned with the increasing fatality rate of roadkills than those of actual vehicle-to-vehicle, vehicle-to-hitchhikers accidents.

I reached my workplace at 8.00AM sharp and i am happy about it.
