I Love Their Chicken Rice @ Chatterbox Cafe

Chatter Box Dessert & Cafe
is right at the corner of Desserts . It's also situated in Pelita Commercial Centre. I had spend the last 6 months eating nothing but chicken rice every weekend. So why not introduce to you all , so you might be able to catch a glimpse of me should you tag along with your mates during the weekend. *note - bring along pretty girls ok?

Chatterbox Cafe, a rather unique name, boasts 2 large canopies for patrons to seek shelter from the deadly UV rays aka Sunlight Miri experienced. Seriously, there's 2 of it covering probably a room's length just to ensure more customers get to taste one of their famous chicken rice stall there.

I won't be hanging around there if there's no "FOO ZHOU JEE" chicken stall around. Trust me. I had been consuming rice and chicken for the past 22 years of my life, and their steamed chicken rice is by far, the best in town. I am not boasting just because he gives me extra large bowl of soup and more cucumbers, but it's true. For your info, the opening hours are from 10.30AM to 8.30PM .

I got myself a plate of steam chicken rice ( as usual ), and there's a roasted chicken drumstick which my dad later took advantage of. Any chicken rice dish would not be considered complete without a bowl of soup.

The roasted chicken drumstick in all it's golden brown glory... hmmph.. it tasted okay, but i had always thought Tham's Cafe roasted chicken rice are the best. Looks appetizing indeed.

Here's the famous steamed chicken rice "FOO ZHOU JEE" has to offer. It looks more appealing and taste that more sweeter than any chicken rice in town. The reason so many patrons gather down at it's chicken stall is because of it's sauce or essence. It's rather special in a way, where normally, other chicken stall proprietors would turn to the usual "chicken sauce" as it's essence, "FOO ZHOU JEE" relies on "Fish Essence" . Hence, it tasted as if you are eating fish meat instead of chicken meat.

Look how tender and juicy the meat is. That's how i like it..... i suggest you to alternate it with chicken meat and follow by cucumber. The essence which is earlier soaked up by the cucumber amids a great taste.

Lastly there's this bowl of soup containing few pieces of chicken feet. It's a nice compliment to the chicken rice. The chicken feet, boiled at a moderate heat gives up a tender texture to ease consumption. I strongly recommend this place for some good chicken rice experience.
