Yu Tiao aka Fried Dough @ New Yakin

Dirty minded peoples, be civilized will you? This is called a Yu Tiao , which is also known as the fried dough or better still the char koi. It's sold in New Yakin every morning and it is normally sold out after 10.00 AM.

It is normally made from wheat flour or self raising flour added with sugar or salt. Normally, you will see the proprietors kneading and rolling out a long rectangular shaped of dough onto a lightly floured surface. After that, it's then cut into strips.

It's ready to consume when the dough turns puffy and golden brown in colour. It's tasty and it melts in your mouth.

Do not get mistaken with a guy's *cough* yu tiao. It looks the same but taste very differently or so they say.

*not that i ever tried a person's before. This post sounds so gay i have to beat myself up.
