07 / 08 - 07 - 07 happens to be the day our team ( Final Union ) were crowned Champions! So, this futsal competition was organized by the Foochow Association and 25 teams consisting of chinese players took part in the 2 day event.
I have lost track on how many teams we beat in this 2 days, but we made new friends out of it. It certainly wasn't easy for us as there were really good teams in the competition, but somehow we manage to see it through, especially in our final match against the much experienced Boulevard Team where we had to come back from a goal down and securing the win at the last minute. Just for your info, i scored the equalizing goal and Ah Loke pop up with the winner at the last minute.
I am really surprised at how well the other Chinese players perform during the 2 day event. Never did i realized that even a primary school team could beat a much older side. There were many surprises of cause and the most important thing for a team to be successful is to be humble and that's what we did.
Last but not least, this here, is a picture of me posing with the trophy. I have to thank all the support from our supporters because they were absolutely brilliant. Do check out the papers lads/ ladies*.
