Final Union 2008 - 2009

Greetings everyone. Yes, i know , i know. Maybe i would reserve the many excuses reasons for the lack of updates in my blog at another time. But i couldn't just let myself off the hook without even explaining what i did for the whole month right? As you can see, i was busy fooling around with balls.

Not those "bodily appendages" type of balls you sick jerks. It's those balls which i famously kick with my mates. Before i go further, i would like to aplogise to everyone for the poor quality of my articles as i've NOT been writing for quite some time.

By the way, the hunger for success has kept me solely and fully focus on winning some silverwares this year and perhaps only God knows what "other" silverwares and trophies i had won apart from soccer. I won't be revealing you the details, but i am sure you would find out soon.

I guess not many were quite happy with our team retaining what we won the year before. The empty seated stadium serves as a testament to it. We also forked out quite an amount from our own pockets to get a few VIPS to have them present us with the trophy. Ok well, i lied about the last part.

Anyways, our team , professionally known as Final Union and personnally known by everyone as " The Jackasses " has seen much improvement over the years in terms of the quality of football we play, our reputation and also with the healthy introduction of new members every year. On top of that, we have been sponsored by a few groups which includes Masara Sdn Bhd, 2020 Cafe and most recently Balcony.

For me, it indeed was a great 2008 football wise. I guess it would be an even exciting 2009 come next February. Before 2008 ends, i would like to thank my our supporters ( whether we have it or not ) for attending our matches and lend their vocal support to us. We would have achieve much more should my other team mates had brought along more female friends for each match. Any female readers here who are keen to see me us play could just contact me . I'll be extremely glad to ..... welcome you.

Happy Garden

A thousand apologies for my lack of updates and drive to write. This was down to "certain" factors and reasons which i deem inappropriate to review at the moment. Okay, right ever since the Mandy K incidence, i tried to not make her feel bad for what happened so i kinda tweak my breakfast destination a little. Here goes HAPPY GARDEN .

Happy Garden is located a stone throws from my office. It is basically a cafe where theres no little chicks would go. Seriously. I can't even recall once a cute little girl dining there. By the way, that's not the point. I was introduced to this cafe few months back by my colleagues and it's whereabouts? Krokop 10.

Happy Garden boasts a repertoire of delicacies. Hence, the reason why i continue to patronize that very place apart from trying to be happy. The best thing about Happy Garden would definitely be it's fried kueh tiaw and it could probably go down as the only stall which has i's fried kueh tiaw FRIED while in a sitting position.

I normally opt for the al fresco feel because of the humid surroundings inside the cafe. Al fresco.. this cracks me up whenever i mention it.

Lame jokes apart, this is the flagship fried kueh tiaw by sir-sit&cook . I prefer it to be fried with hot chilli as it certainly opens up my appetite in the morning. That old chap fries really good kueh tiaw and theres generous amount of ingredients dumped into it as well.

Just look at how delicious and so vibrant the kueh tiaw looks. It made me felt dizzy too after consuming it just because of it's richness. LOL. Kueh Tiaw lovers should give this place a try!! It's on my recommendation!

Title: Undecided

Title: undecided ( I guess this was what you had to say to me before you left, and before you took back all the words )

I'm sorry, your cries, i had enough,
Walking together these while has been tough,
You only serves to break the heart,
It's better off for us to part.

A single nothing in us to yield,
If we carry on together still,
None the reason for you to cry & kneel,
When your words are all but real.

A punctured heart, I've grown used to,
Your words helped made it see through,
When was my love ever real for you?
Forget about the promises which you said were new.

Days gone by and theres none to say,
You grew as my regret day by day,
Forever gone, hoping you may,
I'm sorry, I've grown weary of your ways.

You played the part of a mistaken soul,
Every good you did were just for show,
Time will tell when your heart shall sore,
For a love that deserves to soar.

How Far

.... we walked that far to see it through at the very end.

Tell me what love is,
And how it came to me like this,
Could it be what i really need,
What would have been living without it?

Having no control over this feeling,
Around her seems like a blessing,
Never ceases to amazed,
How did we met in the first place?

Such a fool to slowly realize that,
Of all the feelings when it's too late,
Gone were the dreams like tuesday's morning dew,
Forgetting seems hard when it comes to you.

Believing you could never be the one,
Wishing you are just walking pass once,
What you had left were painful scars,
Asking myself, this love could only go how far?

Knowing it's the wrong thing to do,
How much can a heart go through,
The thoughts of you knows no end,
Being with you again, will it ever end the same?

A love we once thought forever had,
Now leaves a promise once made to share,
As you put your trust in others when i was there,
Marks the end for us in every single way.

A People's Victory !!!

The people has spoken. Anwar won the Permatang Pauh seat with a thumping majority of 15,671. His victory marks a return to Parliament for the PKR adviser after an enforced absence of 10 years.

There's only one swearing which DSAI needs to do now, and that is to be sworn in as the NEW MP for PERMATANG PAUH.

The Smile of December

After a year , this is for you. It seems as if time is catching up with us.

Your smile is the reason my heart remembers,
When you danced by the hall last December,
Letting go of your hands as you went your way,
My heart aches for you to stay.

Your eyes showed me that everlasting warmth,
When with others, were long gone,
You are the sparkle amongst the crowd,
Are there any other words i could say about?

Some say it's love at first sight,
Tried denying with all my might,
What might fool others, could not fool the heart,
As loving you, it too plays it's part.

Your goodbyes clouds my mind,
How did i not read between the lines,
That you would not have left,
If it weren't for my goodbyes and waves.

Holding on for you to stay,
Regretting the day you walked away,
Will you still be there this December?
For a smile which i'll forever remember.

The Rose in Gold

If you were to ask me how i felt for you, then this should be it.

It's undeniable that time is passing us by,
Without realizing that, will you see me as a fool?
It's conceivable the reason you cried,
Cause after all these years, friends are only where we stood.

Wishes of us were left unheard over the years,
You left me wondering will this wait be able to hold,
Forgive me, of all things , you were the one i feared,
Please stop my mind from potraying you as the rose in gold.

In this silence , i thanked God for letting me met,
Someone i never could have,
But it's not about what would or should have been,
But as an excuse for me to exist it seems.

Like a shadow that follows you through the years,
As part of your life, noticing me you sadly can't,
When your radiance shines and unfolds in others,
Mine doesn't seem to matter, when i have none.

A love that blossoms inside an empty jar,
Never being able to reach out for your soul,
We have been so near yet so far,
From here, you'll forever be the rose in gold.

A Reason To Believe

You blamed me for not trusting you, when you trusted someone else. = )

Today, i've found every reason to believe,
Every reason i thought i couldn't have seeked,
Every reason i believed i never would need,
That every smile & tears you've shed were for me.

Sorry, for i've kept you wondering,
Wondering about every meaning of my words,
Sorry, for i've buried all the feelings,
The feeling of seeing you that hurts.

The smile on your face gradually fades,
The last smile we had lingers still inside of my head,
If only i've believed in fate,
I wouldn't have hid myself from you and wait.

The heart ceases to beat it seems,
Ever since you showed me the tears in your eyes before it fall,
Give me a reason to believe,
That your heart will continue to beat,
Eventually without me..

I'm Fine Without You

You're gone before you're back.... That's how fast it was.

I'm fine without you,
Without your smile and your presence,
The air i breathe no longer carries your breath,
A goodbye to you this August as a present.

Why don't you give me up?
For your new happiness this time around,
I'm fine without you now,
I've given you everything for nothing.

Silence hides and betray your thoughts,
Quietly killing the bond we had,
Can you disappear for the better?
I've given you everything so stop being sad.

Remember you pushed me away,
When i was in need of you,
I was the one to blame,
To fell in this game with you.

You took me away from you,
Everything i've given up for you,
The dreams i had no longer carries your picture,
This time around, can you disappear?

An apology means nothing this time around,
Thousands were heard ever since,
I'm fine without you now,
Even if i've never regretted to be part of this game we were in.

Angku Kueh @ Office

If i had to be really honest with you, i am not a big fan of this little cake famously dubbed the "Angku Kueh" . But still, i do had to thank one of the ladies from office who ran all the way from her table to mine just to see me fill my stomach with it. I am sure many of the local folks are well aware of it's existence since it's very common among the chinese folks.

" Angku Kueh " is shaped exactly like a turtle's back as it signifies longevity, and the dough of the red turtle cake is dyed red for good luck. It also comes in green colour too. This cake is made of glutinous rice and flour with either bean paste or peanut fillings in it. Somehow i find it quite good, and most importantly it's fragrant. It's best served with a hot cup of tea in the afternoon. :)

Zong Zi by Charmaine

"Duan Wu"or "The Dragon Boat" festival has long passed, yet i still am receiving food delights like theres no tomorrow. This time around , it's a whole bag of rice dumpling ( Zong Zi ) made with care and love by one of my friend's mum. I have a feeling she likes me, as in a lot. And i meant her mum.

Good things always happens to good people and in this case, i am referring to myself. Zong Zi which i had earlier referred it as rice dumpling is a traditional chinese food made from glutinous rice stuffed with all sorts of fillings and wrapped in bamboo leaves. They are normally cooked by steaming or even boiled.

I had the opportunity to try one of my friend's mum's specialty. My friend told me that her mum spend the whole night preparing it for me. I on the other hand scolded her for not helping her mum because to me , Zong Zi making is a traditionally family event with EVERYONE helping out, but that is less common now due to the fact that girls nowadays tend to work their hands on my body appendages than on some glutinous rice. LOL.

Ok, enough with all the nonsense. This particular Zong Zi tasted the best among the others. It's fillings are loaded with Char Siew @ Chinese Barbecue Pork , Chinese Black Mushrooms, Chestnuts and Dried Shrimps. My parents gave it 101% out of 100%. It seriously was that good.

A close up picture of the rather dark coloured Zong Zi. It takes a long time when it comes to preparing a Zong Zi which is fit for a king. I might never know the actual reason why her mum gave me so much of it the other day, neither will i know what secret recipes did she put inside that made it the best glutinous rice i've ever tasted. But one thing for sure, it made me all full after having half the bite size of it. Thank you Charmaine for your wonderful Zong Zi..... :)

Fragrant Pastry & Little Tortoise from Christina

Ladies, apologies as i've been away for quite some time. Do not ask me where. There's so much things to do as of late that i couldn't even find few decent hours to attend to your needs. Anyway, few days ago, i saw a small golden wrapped packet on my table. It was given by one of my female colleague right after she came back from holidays.

I bet most local folks do actually have a slight idea on what this tiny packet of pastry is all about. But for those who don't, "Heong Peah" is also commonly known as 香饼 .

Which could be easily translated into fragrant pastries. I notice this particular pastry is made famous in Teluk Intan. Yes, yes, stop the clapping.

This pastry resembles a flattened ball which contains sweet sticky fillings made from malt and shallot which is then covered by a flaky baked crust and at certain times, garnished with sesame seeds on the surface. I chose the one with the smooth surface just because it reminds me of my preferred choice when it comes to the opposite sex.

True to it's name, it certainly is sweet and fragrant as well once i took a bite. Normally i don't enjoy pastries but then again, i have too take an exception for this just because it was given by a girl and i just could not say no to her, for some obvious reason of cause.

Not to disappoint me with a packet of fragrant pastry, i also did received a palm size tortoise figure from my colleague, Christina. How thoughtful of her for thinking of me as a tortoise.

She must had trouble looking around for gifts for me until she came to the conclusion that this tortoise key chain would do just fine. Even the "Take the souvenirs with you!"tagline justify the reason she took it back just for me.

I won't be hanging this tiny creature with my keys just in case i would give an impression to the other ladies that i am still REALLY into this sort of things. But i will somehow give it to some lady who deserves it more than i do. Nevertheless, just to be fair, it's a hit among the ladies. They all swoon over it than over me the first night i brought it out. Thanks christina for the ..... gifts.

Why Have I Fallen In Love With You

What you never knew, you never would understand. When i hope you would, even if i didnt explain.

Tell me, are there any words which could express how i feel,
As it is slowly vanishing from my mind,
Why did i end up falling for you?
When i thought no one could.

Tell me, why didn't i met you earlier in my lifetime,
Have we walked further than time,
How would i knew we would end up walking together,
When we walked passed each other earlier.

Hold this love in your palms,
Even if we are two worlds apart,
How we were before,
Never shall we return to it anymore.

Fate has come in an instance,
Washing away the memories of yesterday,
Destiny happens to be a tear in the ocean,
Didnt you realize it's with us all the way.

Tell me, why would you appear when it seems like no one would,
Have you ever wonder why you appeared in the first place,
Perhaps heaven heard my prayers all along,
To move a heart that never heals.

Tell me, are you here to erase the words,
That never-ending phrase of heartbreak,
The eternal sentence of loneliness,
Or perhaps to end this forever hopeless wait.

Believe in your heart,Even if we are two worlds apart,
How i was before,
Never will i look back in despair anymore.

Fate has arrived as i've slowly realized,
Words of yesterday are painfully drifting away,
As the beat of my heart brings me faraway,
The moment we first look into each others eyes.

3 in 1 Blockbusters

Now we have 3 VERY VERY HIGH PROFILE CASES in the country :

1) The mongolian beauty murder case where the topmost leaders of the country was implicated in a SD.

2)The Royal Commission Report on the Lingam Case where a former PM and high ranking government officials were implicated.

3) The case of an aide who claims that his boss screws him from the back where an influential figure was implicated.

Now if you were to ask to choose which case commands UTMOST URGENCY to resolved, which one would you choose?

Mysterious girl on friendster

Greetings everyone. It certainly has been a while writing down nonsense. So i am sure everyone is quite surprise with my latest post which features few carefully selected pictures of a girl posing with her handphone. As i was browsing through my friendster account on my WHO VIEWED ME section, i came across this presumably young and interesting girl, name withheld.

As i've realized, most people nowadays do tend to take pictures of themselve via a handphone. They could be either doing V signs, or even the much notorious hand signals from 1 counting down to 10. Honestly, i do ocassionally do a camwhoring session of myself too, in the bathtub.

I don't intend to flame this little fragile feline here, but then again, i find it amusing to have so many pictures posted on the net in such a way.

I literally went through all her pics just to make sure she had every picture of herself posed that way. From the scale of 1 - 10 , i'll give her an easy 9.5 for creativity.

There were times when i shudder at the phrase " we are all born creative " , but this recent event has certainly clear up any lingering doubts about it.

And i took the time out from work and troubled my own ass off to post the pictures up for my own laughter.

Wow check me out.

Wow check me out.....

Wow check me out again...........

Last but not least, i would like to apologize in advance should the person i just mentioned happens to be reading my web and happens to find it offending. Laugh out loud.

Forgivable yet Unforgettable

They say forgiving is everything, but somehow it felt hard in forgetting.

You used to light up my world,
With your unrelenting spark that lightens up the dark,
You used to say it's forever,
Over and over.

Your words were the reason it hurt so hard,
You used to stick to the only one,
Your gaze endlessly throbs the heart,
You never knew we were one until we part.

I never said this would be easy,
Never said i wanted it to be,
You used to try to pleased me,
You thought leaving should be the way to it,

Will you tell him now,
While you hold his arms pretending it was me,
Will you tell her now,
While you listen to her wishing you never did.

You're on that lonely road,
Before you realized you know where we should be,
But somehow you are going to lose it after all,
You thought turning back would make things straight.

You nearly got there but you somehow left,
You nearly got me but you never did,
Your world shuts down and you knew,
Your eyes blurred from the tears that fell.

Your sweet nothings were deceiving,
It's all over with your words of forever,
Cause leaving me the way you did,
Was so forgivable yet unforgettable.

The Day You Left

The day you left

The playground where we used to be,
Are now covered by trees,
I came to realized it,
Walking by that very bench you left me.

I must admit at times, I miss you smile,
Wondering how have you been all these while,
Breaking a smile reminiscing the times we had,
Maybe i'll live my life doing this than by being sad.

How it amazes me the colours of the bench we sat never fade,
Whereas everything around changes after the thousand drops of tears you shed,
Remember you said you would give me forever,
Was it happiness or rather remembrance that's eternal?

Maybe i was a second too late to understand,
How your feelings started to wane nearing the end,
Or a second too fast to believe,
It was just a brisk infatuation rather than a lingering adoration.

Sorry if i never could change a wilted leaf back to how it was,
Like how i never could trade my sadness for your happiness,
But if you really have to leave, forever remember me,
And if it makes you sad, please wipe me away from your memories,
The way you wipe away your tears,
The day you left me.

Nasi Lalapan @ Surabaya Restoran

Surabaya Restoran has become one of the most sort after places for me since i started to indulged myself in Indonesian dishes. I swear i have never ever crave anything that much after i had their much famous Nasi Lalapan. By the way, it's situated in Miri Town centre near the old KFC building.

Nasi Lalapan you asked? Well, it's actually a dish where spinach , cucumber slices and fish or chicken meat are served alongside the very tantalizing paste pictured above. The whole dish actually revolves around the paste which contains tomatoes , belacan and other miscellaneous ingredients which i am currently unaware of, but it certainly keeps me coming back for more.

Normally, i would prefer to have a piece of tofu, beef meat and a piece of fish of my own choice to go along with the sambal paste. The paste taste very different compared to others served around in Miri in my opinion. The strong spicy and sweet taste leaves a very unforgettable experience once consumed.

This is how it is done. Dip the vegetables in and apply the paste generously over the veges.

Word has it that it even has tongkat ali essence in it which is yet to be proven but i bet most of the patrons would come back for more once they had tried it. I am really addicted to it. It aint a good thing because 1 nasi lalapan meal would cost your wallet around RM10.00 there. Nevertheless, i totally enjoy it and i would have it anytime, anywhere.

Miri's Laksa @ Sin Foh Cafe

I bet that most of our local folks here would know this place. It is home to one of the famous laksa in town. I did wrote an article about this cafe few years back but unfortunately, i did not mentioned about their famous laksa. I went there this morning to have a bowl just to satisfy my sudden craving for it.

I didn't really get to take really nice pictures of food as of late and the latest post on some curry rice obviously did not go well with certain people. So, just to humour them, i took the time out and woke up few hours earlier to take some really nice pictures. Pardon my lengthy explanations, as mentioned earlier, this is the bowl of laksa which i ordered.

It comes with some sambal paste which one has to mix with the laksa just to enhance the taste. The secret of having a good laksa meal normally revolves around this sambal paste. If it taste like crap, then of cause, it would have tasted so. But as a seasoned laksa proprietor, the aunties certainly got it right with their signature dish.

A normal bowl of laksa would consist of rice vermicelli, omelette strips, chicken strips and also those succulent fresh prawns and for those who aren't sure what it taste like, its supposed to be spicy. I totally enjoyed my meal this morning even without my usual female companions.

Curry Chicken Rice @ Open Air Market

Just very recently, i got myself one of Miri's own very very tantalizing curry chicken rice. It's been a while since i last visited that stall which is located at the open air market. I didn't had the opportunity to take any pictures of the stall itself as it was always overly crowded with people who are over their party years and ALSO due to time constraints, i had to be back by home earlier than expected.

This is a much clearer picture of the curry chicken rice. It comes with slices of pork meat as well. I do not know how the aunties of this stall prepare their dishes but it certainly keeps me salivating at the sight of it.

It also comes with a complimentary gravy / sauce which one has to generously pour it into the curry chicken rice. There are no words which i can describe how delicious and fulfilling this meal is. I strongly recommend anyone to go and try out this flagship dish at the open air market in the morning. I believe it's easy to locate it's whereabouts as the stall has been there since world war 2. Lol. That's a compliment.

The curry and gravy essence exudes an aromatic flavor once it is mix together. The chicken meat is tender and juicy and so are the aunties there. I am serious. Lol
