New Tanjung Seafood Restaurant
Behold !!! New Tanjung Seafood Restaurant has been serving the poor , the affordable and the rich tasty and mouth-watering meals for as long as i can remember. It whereabouts is right beside the highway along Jalan Tanjung. Opposite the Marriot Hotel if you are so inclined.
Basically, New Tanjung Seafood Restaurant has it name derived from the beach which is also termed as Tanjung Beach. Local folks here normally regard the beach as Taman Selera.
From a small wooden shop house, New Tanjung Seafood Restaurant has seen a remarkable increase in business . Hence, the new restaurant was built beside the old building. New Tanjung Seafood Restaurant boasts around 30 - 40 workers including waitresses. There are a few who are familiar with me as i normally go there for the usual Fried Kueh Tiaw Wanton with Tomato Sauce. I am really demanding sometimes.
This is the dish i order whenever i patronised this respectable restaurant. By the way, the owner's daughter happened to be one of my tuition mates back when i was an innocent little kid. I still am.
The Fried Kueh Tiaw Wanton with Tomato Sauce basking in it's glory. I took the flash shot as clearly it was unclear from the previous pic. It's good and delicious with the soggy eggs milking it in your mouth and with the prawns and fish meat mixing together, it's a hit!
Fried Kueh Tiaw Wanton with Tomato Sauce ( to me ) never tasted so good until i discover New Tanjung Seafood Restaurant... . 50 Bucks on me if you find this dish not palatable enough for you. FYI, it's good deal at RM3.50 .

Joy Cafe is my Sunday hideout
This is Joy Cafe. It has recently been a regular place for me to have breakfast before attending church. Situated at the rear of Morsjaya Commercial Centre from a humble beginning, it now has become a station for dare i say, every walk of life .
It's famous for it's delicious fried kueh tiaw. Besides that, the proprietor chosed not to increase the price of his dishes and that's a major point in attracting kiam sai ka like us.
This is the Fried Kueh Tiaw i got every sunday. It cost RM3.00 and there's a generous amount of bean sprouts just to suit ones taste. The proprietor does really cook good food.
Appetizing indeed. One of the best i tasted in town.
I even got myself a bowl of soup which has hints of vege, scrambled eggs and meat mixed together. It taste superb once mixed along with few drips of red wine. I recommend anyone up in Morsjaya to try out their fried noodles and kueh tiaw. It's that good that it makes me ejaculate.

Ai AI Bakery
This is AI AI Bakery which is situated by the road of Jalan Datuk Muip, Piasau. It has been operating for around 2 months and just recently, the man, Adam went down to have a look.
As i was the early bird, there weren't much pastries to choose from. The shelves were reduced to just a few types of buns.
I got myself on the right, The Morrocon Bun and somehow the name of the plain-looking bun had eluded me. Talking about how trance music does to your brain while eating.
I got this brownish looking morrocon bun for RM1.00. It's quite expensive really as it tasted much like an ordinary bun coated in thick layers of cheese and sugar. It's a good example of sugar layered on top of the bun and imagine having it baked that way. Simple stuff.
The Morrocan Bun is spongy and sweet to say the least but moneywise, i don't really think it's worth the greens. I am thinking of going for another evaluation when more pastries are on shelves.

Borneo Drag Race - 17 - 09 - 2006
This is the recent Borneo Drag Race event held at the ex Shell Lutong air strip which many had been anticipating about. I was supposed to post this up a week ago but due to my heavy workload over the week and with my colleague on holiday til next month, i had to concentrate more on other stuff.
This recent event , held on the 17th of September has been the the talk of the town since few months back. It's organised to invite car enthusiast ( especially drag-race fanatics ) to join in and test their vehicles to the limit with each winning contestant racking up a meager amount of 3k in Ringgit Malaysia if you are wondering how much.
I arrived around 6.30AM , yes , that's how early i went as there would be plentiful of parking spaces available. There's a stall located inside it's premises promoting some sort of capsule which is designed specially for a vehicles performance. It was dubbed the K. FUEL SAVER. I tried it once and honestly speaking, it's good. It does reduce the usage of fuel and i noticed a smoother ride after using it.
This is Helen Yeo and according to my knowledge, she's my dad's colleague. She was there as a promoter for this "special" capsules. I was dragged to the side by her while talking to my friend and forced to fill in details which my mum told me i shouldn't if it involves a stranger to stranger conversation. Anyway, since she is someone whom my dad knows, i guess it should be okay. Heh.
I even met a familiar face there. Ah Fang had shaved of his long Marilyn Manson-liked hairstyle for the better.
There were many food stalls lining up the side and also at the front of the entrance to the air strip. I got myself 2 packets of Fried Mee Hoon just in case i needed it.
So, it's been 4 years on and everytime it's the same routine to survey around ,looking for new rides. There were many contestants ( around 100 + ) for this event and every year, some jacka$ would come up with questions like " Why don't you join this event? " . " Sell off your car for the public? Why don't you? " I frequently retorted.
Divided into 3 categories from A , B to C. Each category comes in a difference in C.C and as i would love to reiterate, the idea is to beat the best time. :)
Group A are for turbocharged cars, B for the NA's ( Naturally Aspirated ) and C for the lower in horsepowers. LOL. Correct me if i am wrong.
There were cars which were heavily modded....
..to an extent they don't look like one. My friends figured hard and came to the conclusion that this is actually a Proton Saga modified to resemble a golf CART ( ? ). I have to give this guy here props for his imagination.
The Honda EG6's parking alongside each other.
One of my friend gyrating along DJ Lee's canto fengtao technos before the race.
The contestants were ordered to line up before the race before entering the race track.
A makeshift canopy located beside the track for all V.I.Ps to linger around and just frankly speaking, i do feel sorry for them as everytime a car does a burnout, the spectators there will have the opportunity to breathe in much more fumes in a day then they would prolly in a year.HA HA HA.
We found our spot somewhere in the middle of where all the action starts. It doesn't look comfy at all with all these fresh tweaks and branches covering up on ya but that's the best i could do as i am no V.I.P.
The view from where we were sitting at. We can consider ourself.. unlucky as by the time we were camping by the river bank, the rays were shining brightly on top of us.
Some took another bigger step forward by using a parachute.
Some chose a safer way by impesonating a monkey. This are real stunts from the public ya know. I really have to give them the credentials. The act of climbing up the tree and sitting on the branches was more exhilirating than the drag race itself from my perspective.
Anyway my friend put up an impressive show for the public. I am proud of his "uneccesary" drifting act at the end of the race.
This yellowish Nissan Skyline was a disappointment to say the least. It got smoked by a rather less-spectacular modded vehicle. Now, what's the big deal about having GTRs eh?
The contestants were putting up a real fight towards the end of the day as everyone were believing that they should be bringing back the title home. FYI, Miri had won it several times in a row , so it's not surprising to see that some had their engine blown due to the heavy load they were inflicting onto their engine.
After the race, the contestants were instructed to form a line for the judges to determine which vehicle was decorated the best. It's an opportunity for the public to get upclose not only to the car, but also towards the drivers from the respective teams.
This years drag event was won by a bruneian company dubbed Mitsubishi Motorsports. It was a really tiring event nonetheless an exciting one. Theres a few movies and shots which i took of the drag race for your viewing pleasure.
Few worthy shots of the day:
Turbocharged Mitsus and Wira doing their thang.
Pushing your vehicle over the limit is no no clever move. An example of a blown up engine.
Ah Di's signature greeting to the crowds.
Ah Di smoking some car behind.
The race where everybody were on their feet. Skylines are just skylines.
A very neat and chio looking RX7.One of my favourites.
A blue Skyline.
This menacingly looking R34 certainly beats the rest for looks.
Another weird looking vehicle.
A Subaru WRX. I would love to have this in my garage in the near future.
This ride here bag home the gold medal for this year's drag race event. I got sunburnt at the end of the day. I am listing down a list of items to bring come next year. Exp: Foldable chairs; 100 plus, food, chocolate bars.

Free tix for adam ..
I received this note from few ..... girls working at the only cinema in town. It reads " U, Naik atas terus. Takut nanti bos saya nampak. U tunggu kat atas ok. " which actually meant " You, go up straightaway. I'm scare that my boss will see . Wait upstairs ok? " in english.
Sounds like some "entertainment" i am having eh? Truth is i've been watching free movies just because i am chinese and most of all, i am adam. There goes the priviledge. I aint gonna brag more cause theres this guilty conscience in me to stop receiving free movies. I really do feel bad about it but then , coming to think about it, whatever that could help me save, is considered something worthwhile....
I hope you guys wont go report this to the boss. Oh btw, today's Saturday, i might go to the cinema again. ;P

Do you wanna watch special...movies?
This is the latest pirated ( yes.. pirated ) piece of dance hit i bought for my listening pleasure. It cost me RM5.00 from a vcd shoppe in M2. The cd cover features a disc jockey doing his thang on the turntable with the title " Progressive... Tribal..
Music presented by Zouk Dance Club, let's see how good it is.
The back of the cd are listed with new tunes from dj's which i am unfamiliar with.
The cd leaflet opens up to reveal a sexy lady in lingerie clutching on her ( insert caption ) for dear life. I do not understand why such images are presented on most dance tunes, but it certainly does sell. Overall, the music was catchy and its refreshing with all the drum beats and sudden turns and twist of bass. I still prefer Tiesto.
On another note, as i was browsing through few new movies, this staff assistant ( a guy ) strolled up by my side and asked, " Boss, do you want to watch ..... special movies? " . For a moment, as his pronounciation wasn't quite clear, i thought he asked " Boss, do you want to watch.... special moves . "
So, being the guy who loves special stuff, i glady agreed and he invited me to the back of the shop and i was told to wait for him. I was guessing what kinda special MOVES he was showing off but then to my horror, he lifted out a whole box of SPECIAL MOVIES which has the term DIRTY & XXX labelled on it. Some were even worse, XXXX !
I swear that this particular store had piles and piles of extra X rated movies to offer to the lonesome ones back at Embargo. I didn't get it , not that i need to, but i didnt get it as i had spent my cash on 2 educational Dvds earlier.
So, for those who are desperate and are ( always ) looking for new collections of such items, please feel free to drop by.
